Schedule of Events

The 2024 Thunder Over the Heartland Air Show Presented by CoreFirst Bank & Trust is a unique aviation event and defies some of the traditional standards you might be familiar with when visiting other air shows.

Please familiarize yourself with the event’s timing format (Evening Shows vs. Afternoon Show), and the start and end times for each day. Don’t forget to arrive early and give yourself ample time for travel, parking, and transit to the event – the show starts on time!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10 | ARRIVAL DAY

• 8am-5pm – Open to Spotter Area Ticket Holders ONLY with the Thursday Arrival Add-On 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11 | EVENING SHOW

• 12pm – Gates Open, Static Displays
• 3pm – Flying Display Begins (with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds first!)
• 8pm – Fireworks & Wall of Fire Finale
• 9pm – Gates Close

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12 | EVENING SHOW

• 12pm – Gates Open, Static Displays
• 3pm – Flying Display Begins (with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds first!)
• 8pm – Fireworks & Wall of Fire Finale
• 9pm – Gates Close

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13 | AFTERNOON SHOW

• 9am – Gates Open, Static Displays
• 12pm – Flying Display Begins
• 4pm – Flying Display Ends (U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds fly last @ 3pm!)
• 5pm – Gates Close
