Thunder Over the Heartland is a unique aviation event and defies the standards of traditional air shows.  Please familiarize yourself with the event’s timing formats (Evening Show Vs. Afternoon Show) and the start and end times for each day of the show.

Oct. 10 | Arrival Day

• CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, except for Spotter’s Area Ticket Holders

Oct. 11 | Evening Show

• Gates Open – 12pm
• Flying Begins – 3pm (begins with USAF Thunderbirds)
• Fireworks – 8pm (ends with Wall of Fire!)
• Gates Close – 9pm

Oct. 12 | Evening Show

• Gates Open – 12pm
• Flying Begins – 3pm (begins with USAF Thunderbirds)
• Fireworks – 8pm (ends with Wall of Fire!)
• Gates Close – 9pm

Oct. 13 | Afternoon Show

• Gates Open – 9am
• Flying Begins – 12pm
• Flying Ends – 4pm (USAF Thunderbirds fly last)
